The Swedish war historian Lars Gyllenhaal has visited Tr\u00f8ndelag. He is writing an article for the Swedish newspaper “Hemv\u00e4rnet” about Gjefsj\u00f8en Mountain Farm, OSS Gjefsjoen, and Task Force Rype HV-12.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gyllenhaal has written several books about Swedish military history, where he also writes about OSS special operations in Scandinavia. In May, Gyllenhaal will release the book “Unsung War Traces \u2013 Did Sweden Participate in World War II?”, where he shares several unknown stories about how Sweden was more involved in World War II than previously known. The book includes a dedicated chapter on Operations Woodlark and Rype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gyllenhaal visited Trondheim, V\u00e6rnes, Sn\u00e5sa, and Tangen Bru and conducted interviews with Carl Einar Br\u00f8nn, Even Husby, and Bengt Egil Rotmo from the Home Guard’s Task Force Rype, Frode Lindgjerdet at the Defense Museum Rustkammeret, Kristian Nastad, and Lars Bugge Aarset at OSS Gjefsj\u00f8en.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
