Feel free to tell us if there are more stories that should be added.<\/p>\n\t<p>the sabotage operation<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tOperasjon rype\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>In the last months of the war in 1945, Gjevsj\u00f8en was a central place in connection with the sabotage operation Rype. The saboteurs had their base on the mountain farm. Operation Rype&#8217;s goal was to sabotage the railway to delay the withdrawal of German troops. The Home Guard&#8217;s current task force &#8220;Grouse&#8221; has taken its name after the operation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"http:\/\/gjefsjo.no\/en\/operasjon-rype-en\/\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRead more about Operasjon Rype\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p>restoration of the Rype headquarter<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tOSS Gjefsj\u00f8en\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>An extensive project is now underway to restore the building that was the headquarters of Operasjon Rype during the war.
